“Blue Moon Through Southern Steam” was created from an old photo taken by our mother, CM Deever – decades ago. Shot on a bright sunny day, I filtered it with blue, imposed a moon (borrowed from my brother, Bob Deever) . . . and experimented with it – until it looked like this.
I’m not quite sure which version this is – nor all the steps I took, once the specific version was selected. Those mysteries could be solved if I wanted to trace through my electronic files.
But . . . mainly – the day was hot. The blue moon softened and cooled it. Touches of water color lured me into reverie . . . and there, I stayed.
