Although all the characters and story of “Jewels Among The Ruins” are fictional, the world events in which they live are real.
In the first chapter, of my romantic suspense novel, one of the characters remembers what I remembered in 1988 as the Soviet-imposed government was being dismantled in Poland.
Today, I feel such admiration for the economic powerhouse Poland has become. Its people have worked hard and sacrificed much to achieve Poland’s current status as “a hope for Europe”.
