“Little Boy Catching Sparkles” is a composite of a foundation photo our mother took 50 years ago and a photo I took of the sweetest, most fearless child 12 years ago.

Do not fear for the child's safety.  The original photo of the child was taken in a living room, filled with holiday gifts.  He is actually picking up a toy.

Yet, I removed the remnants of family celebration and placed him beside a burbling brook - searching for glints and twinkles, fascinated by the natural wonders, unaware he is one of them.
